On completing Chapter 2, you will unlock the ability to scrap items, which will permanently destroy unwanted wargear in exchange for Ore. To do this, press and hold the scrap icon until the item is destroyed. Keep in mind that the item cannot be recovered if destroyed, so make sure you're happy to scrap it!
